Established in 1845, Wittenberg University is a private liberal arts college in Springfield, Ohio, US. The institution was founded by the English Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Ohio.
It offers majors in many subjects such as biochemistry, entrepreneurship, philosophy and Central Eurasian studies among others.
Students can play in NCAA Division III competitions in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field and volleyball.
Beyond academics and athletics, students can join clubs such as the Chinese dragon dance team, outdoors club, sailing club and WUSO radio station.
Some of the alumni include visual artist Jennifer Vanderpool, federal judge Gregory Frost and French cinematographer Pierre Lhomme.
