About the role

Reporting to the Director of PMO and Business Support Services, the role will ensure that an ISO 9001 accredited system, process and procedures are integrated with other management systems, including the ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ISO55001 (under development), identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency.?

The role will oversee the collation, storage, management, retrieval, archiving, quality, protection of information and data and co-ordinate with IT to oversee data standards, management, quality and data controls within our systems.

About you

Your communication skills are positive with an inclusive approach and genuine passion for effective information management. You have experience in operating in an Estates and Facilities environment including project management. ?You have set up, developed and migrated to modern document libraries and are proficient in using SharePoint, Teams and Office 365 with a proven track record of leading information and quality management across a multi-discipline portfolio.

Job Summary and Key Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Academic Accreditation Specialist supports the mission of QU Health and the Accreditation & Assessment Section by ensuring quality improvement across all academic offerings at QU Health. This role involves overseeing quality assurance processes, with a primary focus on accreditation processes including compliance with accreditation standards, at program and institutional levels. The Academic Accreditation Specialist also coordinates academic program reviews and contributes to academic planning initiatives.

The position requires close collaboration with colleges, faculty, and academic support staff across QU Health to monitor and enhance the quality of academic programs and maintain compliance with Qatar university academic standards.

Key Responsibilities


	Coordinate and follow up on the accreditation process of academic programs at QU Health and monitor compliance with accreditation standards.
	Support programmatic, institutional, and national accreditation initiatives at Qatar University, and collaborate with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
	Partner with QU Health colleges and academic programs to identify suitable accreditation agencies and prepare for programmatic accreditation.
	Review accreditation applications for completeness, request additional information from academic programs as needed, and prepare and disseminate related correspondences.
	Verify compliance with accreditation standards, including periodic reports to accrediting agencies while working closely with colleges and programs at QU Health.
	Provide support during accreditation site visits, including coordinating schedules for internal and external representatives.
	Organize, classify, and maintain accreditation data, documents, and information, and ensure accurate tracking of accreditation reports and status updates.
	Develop and maintain academic program review policies, procedures, templates, handbooks, and guides.
	Coordinate the academic program review process and serve as the focal point for communication and support during reviews.
	Administer the review and approval process for Program Enhancement Plans following program reviews and ensure timely their implementation.
	Maintain records, files, and calendars related to academic program reviews, and propose necessary revisions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
	Monitor the implementation of approved Program Enhancement Plans and follow up with academic programs as required.
	Assist in orienting faculty and academic administrators regarding academic program review-related policies and accreditation requirements through workshops and consultations.
	Develop and maintain accreditation and program review-related websites to provide updated information and resources.
	Provide timely and relevant information on accreditation and academic program review to aid in academic planning and decision-making.
	Prepare periodic reports on accreditation and academic program review activities, outcomes, and related quality assurance initiatives.
	Support the collection, organization, and dissemination of data related to accreditation and program reviews.
	Assist in preparing and conducting educational workshops on accreditation, academic planning, and program review to build capacity within QU Health colleges and programs.
	Contribute to research on academic quality assurance and health professions education, including areas of accreditation, assessment, and program evaluation.
	Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education and Certifications

An earned master’s degree is required in one of the health profession disciplines or health education; a Ph.D. is preferable.

	A minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in higher education. Experience in a health profession discipline or health education is preferred.

Your personal sphere of play:

The Faculty of Chemistry is seeking a highly skilled and motivated?Mass Spectrometry Core Facility Manager?to?oversee the operations of our advanced mass spectrometry facility. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge chemical and interdisciplinary research while managing state-of-the-art instrumentation. The position is initially limited to one year with the option of subsquent permanent employment.

Your future tasks:

Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:


	Oversee the daily operations of the mass spectrometry core facility, including responsibility for personnnel and budget.
	Maintain and develop relations with?users and customers.
	Maintain calibrate and troubleshoot high-end mass spectrometers (e.g., LC-MS, GC-MS, MALDI_TOF and ICP-MS).
	Develop and optimize analytical methods for chemical, biochemical, and environmental applications.
	Provide training, consultation and technical support to researchers, students and faculty members.
	Manage budgets, facility usage and service (curate the web-based research facility management software)
	Generate customized reports.
	Stay updated on the?latest?mass spectrometry advancements and implement best practices.
	You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.


This is part of your personality:


	Ph.D. or equivalent experience in analytical chemistry or a related field.
	Extensive hands-on experience with mass spectrometry techniques and data analysis.
