About Vistula University

Basic information and contact details for Vistula University

institution

Vistula University was founded in Warsaw in 1991 as the University of Insurance and Banking. It takes its name from the river which flows through Poland*s capital to the Baltic coast and is a significant symbol in national identity.

It took its current name in 2012 after merging with the High School of Economics and Information. It has since incorporated Aleksander Gieysztor Academy of Humanities at Pultusk and linked with Warsaw University of Business and Olstyn University.

Most of its 10 degree options in business and finance and four in engineering are offered in both English and Polish. There are nine Master's courses and a specialist MBA in decarbonisation and sustainable business, as well as a doctoral seminar in economics and finance.

A satellite site in Bristol, UK is the location for the first year of a three-year management degree, and there is a joint degree in the same subject, run with South Bank University.
