Founded in 1957, the University of Tripoli (UOT) is the largest university in Libya and is located in its capital, Tripoli. It was initially founded as a branch of the University of Libya before it was divided in 1973 to become what is now known as the University of Tripoli.

About the Role

Flinders University International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing (ICPOCT) is seeking a Scientific Officer to assist in the coordination of the Rapid Applied Research Translation (RART) and First Nations Molecular POCT Program, which provides molecular point-of-care testing to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services across Australia. Join a global leader in Point-of-Care (POC) Testing research and innovation, dedicated to improving healthcare access and outcomes for Indigenous communities and remote populations.

About the Flinders Health and Medical Research Building At the beginning of 2022, construction

commenced on the $255 million Flinders Health and Medical Research Building (FHMRB). Opening in early 2024, the FHMRB enables researchers, practitioners and industry partners to work together more closely than ever before, creating a hub of collaboration within southern Adelaide’s own biomedical research precinct. Located adjacent to Flinders Medical Centre and Flinders Private Hospital, FHMRB is the focal point of research informed by genuine patient need, positioned to make an immediate improvement to people’s health and wellbeing.

About You

To be successful in this role you will exhibit:


	A Bachelor of Medical Science or equivalent degree in a relevant field with subsequent relevant experience
	Experience of routine microbial pathology testing and the relevant national/international standards and testing requirements
	Demonstrated experience in the delivery and management of molecular-based point-of-care testing, including GeneXpert devices
	Ability to develop and deliver a wide range of training resources and quality management activities.
	Demonstrated practical experience in training health professionals

About the International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing

The International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing work collaboratively with national and international partners to improve health care, access to pathology testing, and improve health outcomes.

The Centre works to translate the national research and teaching expertise in the field of community based POC Testing to other national and international audiences, and as a result, build the capacity of rural and remote communities globally (particularly Indigenous communities) to develop solutions to improve both health service delivery and patient outcomes in their communities.

The Programmes and Projects Office, a new department at the University of Surrey, is looking to recruit 2 Project Partners. It’s an exciting time to be joining us here, as the Programmes and Projects Department is becoming established and taking on new pieces of work aligned to our 2041 strategy.

Project Partners facilitate smooth and efficient project planning, management and delivery, and foster an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. They help to ensure that programmes and projects align with the University’s objectives and are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. They have overall project management responsibility for specific projects, working closely with both internal stakeholders and project owners, and other internal delivery teams.

One of the roles will have a broad remit, working across a number of projects, whereas the other role will work initially on the University’s Transnational Education (TNE) activity, and particularly on the establishment of a campus in India which needs to be ready for delivery of degree programmes by July 2026. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of spending a minimum of 1-2 days per week on campus.

About you

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced individual with project management experience. Experience of working in HE is also an advantage. You’ll have experience of building relationships and contacts with a wide variety of colleagues and will demonstrate personal credibility when dealing with senior stakeholders. You’ll be able to work autonomously where needed, applying judgement and initiative when managing your workload to meet the long-term objectives of the project.

You’ll have a relevant degree or significant vocational experience, and the ideal candidate will also have a project management qualification.
