The university offers a range of undergraduate programmes within the engineering discipline including science and engineering, information technology, mechanical engineering anf civl engineering among others. 
The university also offers postgraduate degrees in computer applications and communication systems. 
In addition to these degrees the university offers "value added courses" in each department. These courses take place after usual hours and include a range of topics including C Language, Catia, embedded systems and fundamentals of computer programming.
On campus there are many facilities including a library with more than 60,000 books and an automatic book issue machine, fitness centre and various sports courts, accommodation and a food hall.

The Cluster involves more than 30 researchers from four academic institutions (Austrian Academy of Sciences,?University of Vienna,?Central European University,?University of Innsbruck). The Cluster explores original-language sources in dozens of languages with a view towards addressing issues of contemporary relevance - diversity, mobility, identity - in historical perspective, pursuing comparative questions and stressing forms of connectivity in the realms of culture and religion, economy and politics, across Eurasia. From its earliest years, the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) has been fundamentally changing and shaping how we understand, prevent and treat mental illness and other conditions that affect the brain.? The legacy, ethos and drive of the IoPPN has ensured its position at the forefront of mental health care, redefining mental illness, its treatment and its place in society.

The IoPPN is divided into 14 academic departments across three major academic Schools: Academic Psychiatry, Mental Health & Psychological Sciences, and Neuroscience.

The Department of Psychosis Studies, part of the School of Academic Psychiatry, is one of the world’s leading centres for research into psychotic disorders. Our research includes the following major themes: Comorbidities & transdiagnostic approaches; Interventions; Neuroscience & biological mechanisms; Prediction and analytics; Risk factors and population health; and Treatment resistance. Our work involves a wide range of methodologies, including artificial intelligence/ digital technologies and interventions, cognitive neuroscience approaches, epidemiology, experimental medicine and clinical trials, ex vivo analyses, genomics, health service and applied research, meta-analysis?and evidence synthesis, prevention and early intervention, psychological approaches, psychopathology/ phenomenology, neuroimaging, real world data analyses and natural language processing, and stem cell techniques.?

About the role

This is an exciting position?where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as part of an internationally leading team of researchers investigating biological bases of neuro-psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders and the mechanism of action of treatments. The team has a particular interest in investigating the mechanism of action of cannabinoids and a key component of this program of work will involve the application of cutting-edge neuroimaging techniques (such as fMRI) to investigate the neural substrates underpinning the harmful effects of recreational cannabis use as well as potential therapeutic effects of cannabinoids. As part of this role, the appointed person will be involved in ongoing or planned randomised clinical trial/s and/ or pharmacological challenge studies.

The position is ideally suited for specialty trainees (from Psychiatry/ Neurology /Geriatric Medicine) interested in developing experience and skills in clinical trials or clinical research, in addition to gaining valuable experience in neuroimaging and neuropsychopharmacology.

The successful applicant will play a key role in the assessment and monitoring of patients taking part in ongoing studies and along with a team of researchers will contribute to the collection of clinical trial and neuroimaging data. The applicant will receive appropriate training and supervision relevant to their role and will work closely with other research and clinical staff working on the project/s, fostering effective working relationships with appropriate local services (e.g., Parkinson’s clinics at King’s College Hospital and Liaison and Geriatric Psychiatry at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust). ?

The person will be based in the Department of Psychosis Studies, School of Academic Psychiatry, IoPPN at KCL and will work closely with Prof Sagnik Bhattacharyya (https://www.kcl.ac.uk/people/professor-sagnikbhattacharyya) and other investigators based at King’s College London, in particular Dr Latha Velayudhan (https://www.kcl.ac.uk/people/dr-latha-velayudhan), based in the Psychological Medicine department at King’s College London. They will also interact with clinical fellows, research assistants, postdoctoral researchers and PhD students working in the group.?

This is a full-time, fixed term post, currently funded for 12 months with potential for extension and an anticipated start from August 2025. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop their own research interests.?and apply for funding to support an MD/PhD.?

About The Role

We are seeking to recruit research software engineers to help translate the next generation of AI-assisted imaging systems for surgical guidance. The postholder, based within the Department of Surgical & Interventional Engineering at King’s College London, will play a key role in collaborative projects with King’s College Hospital. The role will involve supporting two ongoing clinical neurosurgery study. The successful candidates will join the clinical study team to help curate high-quality data.?

The postholders will help support data analysis tasks and work on computational algorithms to help streamline data annotation. Image computing activities involve expanding on interactive segmentation algorithms to accelerate data annotation. The recruited individuals will complement our multidisciplinary team, undertake research in computer-assisted intervention, and consolidate our existing software infrastructure.?

The post involves close and active collaboration with the surgical team, researchers, and engineers. The candidate will work closely with the rest of the team to correlate surgical data with other rich clinical data sources (e.g. surgical microscopy, histopathology).

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 30 Sep 2025.

We have an exciting opportunity within our Halls Maintenance Team for a Multi-Skilled Operative to join our established team to carry out the delivery of planned, reactive maintenance and minor small works on our Halls of Residences sites.

Main duties include:


	Undertake emergency, planned and general maintenance works such as decoration, minor plumbing including drainage, flooring and furnishing repairs, minor brick and plaster repairs, and carpentry
	Undertake investigatory fault finding and use initiative to find solutions and make repairs on a range of internal and external building fabric
	Complete works to a high standard to align to industry best practice and Health & Safety procedures including risk assessments and method statements
	Accessing work via mobile handheld devices, updating status in a live environment to capture hours worked and materials used


What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will hold a City and Guilds qualification and/or minimum NVQ 2 qualification and served an apprenticeship in one primary core building trade with the confidence and ability to undertake a full range of duties in at least two other secondary building related trade disciplines. They will also have experience of maintenance and repairs in a live dynamic environment plus have a customer focused ‘right first time’ attitude and flexible approach to working. Experience of using a CAFM system to access and complete work requests would be an advantage. They should be familiar with H&S legislation and understanding of risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments and how to apply these to planned and reactive maintenance.?

A full driving license to travel to other local sites is essential.??
