Part of a network of six CV Raman institutions, C.V Raman 51吃瓜 University was founded in 1997. It was awarded university status in February 2020. 
It was Initially focussed on engineering and management. However, today the university has faculties of engineering and technology, physical and mathematical sciences, humanities and social sciences, tourism and hospitality, medical science, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy and agricultural science.
The college offers four year undergraduate btech degree programmes and two year postgraduate degree mtech programmes.
It is based in Bhubenashwar, the capital of the East Indian state of Odisha. Facilities on campus include six student hostels with a total capacity of 2,500 students. Other facilities include dining facilities, volleyball pitch and basketball courts. 
There are a range of sustainability initiatives on campus including energy conservation, renewable energy and water harvesting among others.

We're looking for a passionate educator and clinician to join our Medical Radiations team as a Lecturer in Nuclear Medicine. Whether you're early in your academic career or looking to transition from industry, this is a chance to make a real impact on the future of the field.

About You

In this role, you'll be teaching and mentoring the next generation of nuclear medicine professionals while also contributing to research and staying closely connected with industry. As a Lecturer, Medical Radiation Science (Nuclear Medicine), you'll play a key part in program delivery, curriculum development, and academic leadership within your area of practice.

You'll be an active member of the broader medical radiations community, building and maintaining strong industry relationships that benefit both your teaching and student experience. You'll work closely with colleagues in a collaborative teaching environment and keep students and peers up to date with developments in your field. There may also be opportunities to take on course coordination responsibilities, depending on your experience and interests.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:


	Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver programs at undergraduate level, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials.
	Ability to undertake course coordination role.
	Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students, especially on issues related to effective learning.
	Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links.
	Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government.
	Excellent interpersonal and communications skills together with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.


Qualifications

Mandatory:


	PhD in a related field or approved AQF equivalency with relevant industry experience (a minimum of seven years of full-time practice or equivalent for appointment at level B).
	Registration or eligibility to register with AHPRA


Preferred but not essential: Completion of the Essentials in Tertiary Teaching Practice program or equivalent (if the appointed candidate does not meet this requirement at time of appointment, they will be supported to complete this as a requirement to fulfil their probation).

Discipline of Medical Radiations

The discipline of Medical Radiations contributes to teaching and research in the fields of Medical Imaging, Radiation Therapy, and Nuclear Medicine, in the School of Health and Biomedical Sciences. The undergraduate program enables graduates to be eligible for registration to practice as Radiographers, Radiation Therapists, or Nuclear Medicine Technologists in Australia under AHPRA.

The program is structured to integrate foundation sciences, clinical sciences, and clinical skills to produce capable graduates who can practice as healthcare professionals with skills relevant to their stream. There is also a strong focus on Work Integrated Learning to ensure students are exposed to real-life clinical scenarios from the time they begin their studies within the discipline. Staff and students in the discipline have the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art equipment.

The discipline promotes strong, interdisciplinary collaboration within Applied Health and contributes to the mission and vision of the School of Health and Biomedical Sciences, the STEM College, and RMIT University. It also promotes strong links with industry partners and regularly engages with these and other stakeholders.

From its earliest years, the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) has been fundamentally changing and shaping how we understand, prevent and treat mental illness and other conditions that affect the brain.? The IoPPN is divided into 14 academic departments across three major academic Schools: Academic Psychiatry, Mental Health & Psychological Sciences, and Neuroscience.

The Department of Psychosis Studies, part of the School of Academic Psychiatry, is one of the world’s leading centres for research into psychotic disorders. Our research includes the following major themes: Comorbidities & transdiagnostic approaches; Interventions; Neuroscience & biological mechanisms; Prediction and analytics; Risk factors and population health; and Treatment resistance. Our work involves a wide range of methodologies, including artificial intelligence/ digital technologies and interventions, cognitive neuroscience approaches, epidemiology, experimental medicine and clinical trials, ex vivo analyses, genomics, health service and applied research, meta-analysis and evidence synthesis, prevention and early intervention, psychological approaches, psychopathology/ phenomenology, neuroimaging, real world data analyses and natural language processing, and stem cell techniques.

About the role

This is an exciting position where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as part of an internationally leading team of researchers investigating biological bases of neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders and the mechanism of action of treatments. The team has a particular interest in investigating the mechanism of action of cannabinoids and a key component of this program of work will involve the application of cutting edge neuroimaging techniques such as fMRI to investigate the neural substrates underpinning the harmful effects of recreational cannabis use as well as potential therapeutic effects of cannabinoids.

They will be expected to support ongoing studies. For example, mechanistic sub studies linked to clinical trials as well as observational studies and contribute to grant applications or protocols. This often involves neuroimaging or cognitive paradigms.

The successful candidate will will work closely with Prof Sagnik Bhattacharyya?www.kcl.ac.uk/people/professor-sagnikbhattacharyya?and other investigators based at King’s College London, in particular Dr Latha Velayudhan?www.kcl.ac.uk/people/dr-latha-velayudhan They will also interact with clinical fellows, research assistants, postdoctoral researchers and PhD students working in the group.

This is a full-time, fixed term post, currently funded for 12 months with potential for extension and an anticipated start from August 2025. The successful candidate will be encouraged to apply for postdoctoral fellowships

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria?


	PhD in Psychiatry or a related field e.g. Neuroimaging, Genetics or another other field focusing on neuropsychiatric conditions
	Experience in quantitative data analysis techniques with proficiency in Python, R, MATLAB or another relevant language.
	Good communication skills, ability to critically appraise research findings and present at meetings and conference.
	Self-motivated with ability to work independently and having good organisational and time management skills.
	Strong publication record appropriate for career stage with first-author publications.
	Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships
	Knowledge and interest in study design (research) and statistical analysis approaches


Desirable criteria


	Experience in grant application development.
	An understanding of data protection and patient confidentiality.
