Bloomsbury Institute London is located in central London*s Bloomsbury area, a historic centre of learning and culture. Many lectures, seminars and workshops take place at Birkbeck College*s Bloomsbury campus, providing students with access to high-quality teaching facilities and social spaces.
The institute was founded in 2002 as The London School of Business and Management, initially offering Pearson HND courses in business and computing. In 2011, its higher education courses were approved by the UK government, introducing degrees in business, law and accounting. Two-year undergraduate degrees were launched in 2014.
The institute began the application process for Taught Degree Awarding Powers in 2017, rebranded as Bloomsbury Institute in 2019, and was registered on the Office for Students* Register in 2020. A renewed long-term agreement with Birkbeck College was signed in 2021. In 2022, the Bloomsbury Law Clinic was launched alongside new accredited degrees focused on sustainability, justice and inclusion.
