Responsibilities


	Assist the senior management in reviewing and formulating the University's strategies and policies in research
	Lead and manage the teams to support the overall research development of the University
	Advise on and oversee research grant applications and administration for both internal and external funding
	Work on contracts and agreements on research matters between the University and collaborating parties, and provide guidance and support to faculty members
	Provide strategic support and coordination for the University's Shenzhen Research Institute and other regional bases in the Mainland
	Plan, organise, and execute key initiatives and events to enhance visibility and engagement with University's research initiatives
	Co-ordinate and prepare reports and data as required?
	Manage and oversee the budget, ensuring efficient use of resources?
	Manage the daily operations and the team, including staff development and performance management?
	Provide secretarial support for the Research Committee and other relevant internal committees/task forces?
	Represent the Office in internal and/or external meetings and networks


Requirements


	A good university degree, with at least 12 years' relevant working experience in the higher education sector
	Solid experience in corporate report writing and compiling statistical reports
	Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
	Strong analytical and organisational skills
	Travelling and site visits may be occasionally required

The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.

As the first point of contact for patients, you will be responsible for coordinating the scheduling of appointments and welcoming them to the clinic. Other duties include providing relevant information, banking, invoicing, collecting of fees and payments and participating in hygiene and safe-work practices as determined by dental regulatory agencies.

The ideal candidate will be courteous and caring, able to demonstrate excellent communication skills both face to face and over the phone and be able to juggle multiple competing demands effectively. Previous experience working in a hospital, dental or health care facility is preferable.

The Sustainable and Innovative Transport Demand (SIT-D) Laboratory in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit four postdoctoral associates to work on a large project on the use of Immersive Virtual Reality to study users’ preferences for innovative transport systems. The successful applicants will drive a fascinating sub-project that involves enhancing the understanding and the mathematical modelling of the decision process using a variety of neurophysiological measurements in VR experiments.

Successful applicants must have a PhD in a field related to behavioural analysis and mathematical modelling and demonstrated experience with neurophysiological measurements, as well as data collections and field experiments. Knowledge of Unity platform or Unreal Engine is desirable.
