The role is based at Bush House on the King’s Strand Campus though you may be required to travel to other campuses on occasion. ?

The role holder will be part of the Quality Assurance Team which sits within the wider Faculty Education Team.? The Education Team has responsibility for setting the direction of education delivery, quality assurance and student support and engagement across the faculty.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role at a pivotal time for quality assurance at King’s.

The Quality Assurance Manager will work alongside the Senior Quality Assurance Manager and Senior Quality Assurance Officer to provide support to academic and professional services teams to deliver all quality assurance and compliance processes linked to the faculty’s portfolio of programmes and modules.

The post holder will support the implementation of the new curriculum management system across the faculty alongside managing the quality assurance framework and annual quality cycle.

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing the module and programme approval and modification process, tracking progress through the governance process and adhering to set deadlines.

The successful candidate should have experience in managing quality assurance processes or education programmes across an academic cycle, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

The role holder will be proactive and solution-focused, taking initiative to drive continuous improvement.?

This is currently a hybrid working role, where the role holder will spend part of their working week on campus, and part of the week working remotely. This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31 July 2026.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria


	Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
	Experience in a higher education administration environment, with an emphasis on quality assurance provision or programme coordination.
	Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to draft documents and correspondence for a broad range of audiences.
	Data literacy skills and attention to detail with methodical, exacting standards of written and numerical accuracy.
	Proactive with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, building relationships with a wide variety of people in a professional and assured manner.
	Excellent task management skills and proven ability to use initiative, prioritise workload, make decisions independently and respond positively to competing demands and deadlines.
	Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages and databases, and confidence in learning new systems quickly.
	Experience of interpreting complex regulations and processes and explaining these to a varied audience in a straightforward and engaging manner.


Desirable criteria


	Experience of formal committee servicing, including drafting agendas and minutes.
	Experience of line management including the ability to effectively motivate staff and recognize how to support their development as well as manage their performance when appropriate.
	Experience of managing projects.
	Experience in the use of student records systems (e.g. SITS).
	Evidence of continued professional development.

The roles

We have two fixed term opportunities, one for 6 months, full time, and one for 2 years offered on a part time basis at 0.8FTE.

The role is accountable for employee relations casework and consultations to achieve appropriate resolution, balancing the interests and needs of both the individual and the business. Employee Relations Managers provide interpretive advice to ensure compliance with University employment procedures and employment legislation. The role will work closely with the HR Business Partner, senior management and the University's recognised trade unions, to deliver and support the case management of employee relations issues.

What we’re looking for

Our successful candidates will be passionate about employee relations, and ideally have previous experience working in a similar role, with up to date knowledge of employee relations best practice and the application of employment legislation. You will have the ability to take a proactive and leading role in progressing case work, and be a strong team player who can work well across different teams.

You will be able to demonstrate a proven ability to guide stakeholders through the management of complex and potentially contentious employee relations issues, whilst effectively being able to plan, manage and prioritise an extensive and varied caseload and/or workload to agreed deadlines and quality standards.?

The Precision Health Informatics Data Lab, led by Professor Richard Dobson, is motivated towards enabling a “panoramic” view of patients that is precise, predictive, preventative and participatory, through the integration of traditional ‘omics data with data derived from mHealth, electronic patient records, knowledge graphs. The group works closely alongside the National Institute for Health Research Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (NIHR Maudsley BRC) supporting their translational research into novel tests, treatments and technologies to understand and treat mental disorders.

About the role:

Our RADAR-Base platform is pioneering the future for mHealth technology in remote monitoring and management of health data. The RADAR-base platform is used in numerous research fields, spanning over 20 disorder areas in 54 studies. As a Project Manager, you will be crucial in this journey, working alongside our Product Manager and software development teams to ensure our projects are successfully delivered.
