Names that hurt

This week Antithesis can debunk two myths about good teaching. The first comes from psychologist Mark Griffiths, as reported in New Academic. After a conscientious experiment in learning some of his students' names he found that those whose names he knew well after two weeks gave him a lower assessment as a teacher than those whose names he had not chosen to remember.
