Former education minister found dead
Former Azerbaijani education minister Rafig Feyzullayev, jailed for 12 years in February for corruption and misappropriation of state funds, has been found dead in his cell the day before his appeal was due to be heard by the Supreme Court.
Student protesters injured by rubber bullets
Two people were injured by rubber bullets when police tried to disperse rock-throwing students demonstrating against increases in fuel prices near the Indonesian Christian University in east Jakarta. Tear gas was used outside the nearby privately run Jayabaya University.
