UK pledges £1m to Commonwealth scheme
At the Halifax, Canada, meeting of Commonwealth education ministers, Britain has tripled its contribution to the Commonwealth of Learning to £1 million a year for the the next three years. The Vancouver-based organisation offers distance education to developing countries.
