The prize for seasonal research activity of the week must surely go to New College, Durham, which celebrated the county cricket team's move to a new ground by holding a contest for exciting sandwiches to spice up the interval. Lara's Lively Lunchtime was pipped into second place by The Oval, an egg-shaped creation filled with cream cheese and Caerphilly cheese, topped by strawberries. We can't bat or bowl but we know how to tuck a butty away.
