What a "surprise" to read of the threat posed by EU student loans. This has been obvious from the start of this ill-conceived policy. But such practical considerations are irrelevant to the government, for the policy is all part of its ideology of "user pays" and has nothing to do with the economy. It also offers a great incentive for UK graduates to seek their future abroad, out of the clutches of our tax regime.
