Space for reflection is an important issue in a noise-fixated society (※If silence is golden, we should?invest in it during seminars§, Opinion, 8?August). However, I＊m not sure that I concur with Robert Zaretsky＊s argument: surely silence in the seminar room simply allows space for students to heckle?
