Radiography bottlenecks can affect patients' wellbeing and delay diagnosis ("NHS hit by lack of radiographers", THES , August 16). Given the right equipment, opportunities for development and appropriate rewards, radiography is an attractive career. We urge the government to develop a national strategy to address the severe shortage in radiography recruitment and retention.
