Former University of Chicago Islamic sciences lecturer Munawar Ahmad Anees, who was an aide and speech-writer to former Malaysian deputy prime minister Anwar Ibrahim, said he lied about having sex with Anwar after police stripped him naked, shaved him bald, humiliated and beat him and threatened to harm his family.
Munawar is being treated at the National Heart Institute after having a heart attack.
