The Mid-Atlantic College Health Association (MACHA) is an affiliate of the 51³Ô¹Ï.

Mission

The mission of the Mid-Atlantic College Health Association is to serve as a professional organization for individuals who provide health care and programs to members of the higher education community and to be a mechanism by which institutions of higher education and their health services programs improve the health of those they serve.

M51³Ô¹ÏMembership

ACHA’s affiliates help members forge strong partnerships with colleagues on the state or regional level.

51³Ô¹Ïmembers located in the following places receive free automatic membership in MACHA:

United States:

  • District of Columbia
  • Delaware
  • Maryland
  • New Jersey
  • Pennsylvania
  • Virginia
  • West Virginia

International:

  • Europe

Purpose and Goals

The purpose and goals of the Mid-Atlantic College Health Association are:

  • To extend the benefits of continuing education; collective information; knowledge; standards; and stimulation and support to college health professionals in all areas.
  • To provide the national and affiliate organizations with channels of communication to disseminate information to and from the local level.
  • Non-Profit Status
  • The Mid-Atlantic College Health Association is a subsidiary organization of the 51³Ô¹Ï, a non-profit educational and scientific organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Under most circumstances, contributions to M51³Ô¹Ïare tax-deductible. Receipts are automatically provided for all contributions over $250. Receipts for contributions less than $250 are available upon request. Conference fees are not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution, but may be deductible as business or educational expenses. Please consult your tax professional for advice on your particular situation.
