The President serves as the head of the elected M51³Ô¹Ïboard offering oversight, leadership and direction for board matters and organizational growth as it relates to the mission of MACHA. The President serves as the head of the Executive Committee alongside the Vice President and Treasurer. The President ensures that all official MAHCA matters are carried out including the work of board committees, organizational planning and 51³Ô¹Ïbusiness matters.

The Vice President is an elected officer who assists the President in M51³Ô¹Ïorganizational matters as required to benefit the stability and growth of the organization. The Vice President offers oversight and facilitation  by helping lead board meetings, serving as the Chair of the Bylaw Committee, and working collaboratively with the Treasurer, State Representatives, and Program and Communications Chairs to ensure that member needs are addressed.

The Treasurer is responsible for ensuring accurate income and expense transactions records are maintained for MACHA. The Treasurer is also responsible for communicating with the 51³Ô¹ÏChief Financial Officer to submit required financial documentation for the IRS. The Treasurer, in collaboration with the board, drafts a proposed budget each year.

The State Representatives serve as the main liaison between the M51³Ô¹Ïboard and state members. States reps engage state members and help ensure members’ questions, concerns, and needs are brought before the board.  They also serve as points of contact/resource connection for M51³Ô¹Ïwith other college health professionals in their state.

The Communication Chair, appointed by the President, is responsible for communication between the M51³Ô¹ÏBoard and M51³Ô¹Ïmembership. The position also attends all board meetings and records meetings notes. The Communications Chair maintains the M51³Ô¹Ïwebsite, facilitates needs assessments and garners feedback from members, and promotes M51³Ô¹Ïmembership and activities.

The Program Chair plans and implements the M51³Ô¹Ïconference following 51³Ô¹Ïprogram planning guidelines, with the approval of the M51³Ô¹Ïboard. This includes conference budget reporting, venue selection, conference agenda, sponsor selection, and all other duties needed to carry out a successful M51³Ô¹Ïconference. This position also serves as a mentor to the Program Chair Elect, who helps the Program Chair in planning the M51³Ô¹Ïconference.
