The Building Resources for Inclusion, Diversity, Growth, and Equity (BRIDGE) Committee committee is responsible for collaboration with DEIJA consultants to create a multi-year plan addressing diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and accessibility (DEIJA) issues, aligning with ACHA’s strategic plan.
DEIJA is the first of the 4 pillars of the 51³Ô¹ÏStrategic Plan. As such, the work of this committee is a priority of the Board of Directors, and its success is paramount to the realization of the plan.
The BRIDGE Committee will work with a DEIJA expert consultant contracted by the national office to undertake a top-to-bottom assessment of the organization (Member communications, practices, policies, procedures, training, HR, etc.) to eliminate bias and increase inclusivity; to implement remaining recommendations of the 2021 RMHI report (details below); to develop an annual survey, and annual KPI Progress report; and to lay out a long term plan for ACHA’s DEIJA journey.
The BRIDGE Committee may also be asked for feedback on, or to tasked to review, other 51³Ô¹Ïprograms, policies, or activities to ensure our Inclusion, Diversity, Growth, and Equity aspirations are incorporated, goals defined, and progress measured.
