To misquote Oscar Wilde once may be regarded as a misfortune. To attribute a quotation to him as comprehensively as Anthea Millett did (Letters, THES, October 30) looks like the sort of carelessness that, elsewhere, would result in a teacher-training provider losing accreditation. It was Mark Twain who wrote "the report of my death was an exaggeration".
