BY GIVING the percentage of students in constituencies to two decimal places (eg 14.92 per cent in Leeds Northwest) (THES, April 18) you suggest that student numbers can be estimated accurately to the nearest 100, which I doubt.

In any case, my examination of the electoral register leads me to think that students comprise over 18 per cent of the electorate.
