Rutgers University is said to be a member of the Ivy League (THES, August 15).

Although Rutgers competes against some Ivy League institutions in some athletic contests, it is not a member of the Ivy League. The members are Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Princeton, Pennsylvania, and Yale universities and Dartmouth College.
