The latest graduates' council magazine from Dundee University includes tributes to John Berridge, who has retired from the department of political science and social policy. One sounds rather frustrated: George Robertson, shadow secretary of state for Scotland, says: "I still cannot work out how a man of John's intelligence, and teaching skills in political science in Scotland, is still a Conservative. I can only hope that in his well-earned retirement he will see a blinding light."
