Is there no limit to the versatility of Manchester Business School director Tom Cannon? Since joining MBS's long list of ex-directors he has impinged on the national consciousness in a number of roles - author of business anthologies for Richard Branson, in a splendidly oddball partnership with former Leeds Metropolitan University chief Chris Price as the management team of a college in Cyprus and would-be director of Everton FC. The most recent hat he has been seen wearing is that of visiting professor of business at Kingston University, in which guise he was quoted in a Financial Times story on the economics of football.
