Truth is becoming stranger than fiction. What need do we have of Laurie Taylor and Poppleton University when we can read in The Times Higher 's appointments section that "you will be required to make a major contribution to the development of the Dance pathway...", while in the news section, the head of a new "multi-institutional campus" on the estate of a former psychiatric hospital is quoted as saying not that he wants to encourage research but that he wants "to raise the excellent research profile"?
