About the Role?

We have an exciting opportunity to be a critical part of the University’s expansion into child and adolescent mental health research. This important area of research is a key pillar of the Flinders University Institute for Mental Health and Wellbeing, and the successful candidate will play an important role in increasing the profile of the Institute and its focus on child and adolescent mental health.

Specifically, the Research Fellow will undertake research under the direction of the Little Heroes Professor of Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Some of the key position responsibilities of the position will include (but is not limited to):


	Leading quantitative and qualitative research projects in child and adolescent mental health under supervision of the team leader and collaborating with other team members to successfully deliver project milestones and meet key performance indicators.
	Planning and executing research activities in child and adolescent mental health by generating new ideas, reviewing relevant literature and other sources of information to develop these ideas into competitive grant applications and active research projects.
	Coordinating, planning and executing the project tasks required to collaborate with project stakeholders, including young people with lived experience, their families, and industry partners.


About You?

To be successful, you will have completed a PhD in child and/or adolescent mental health, psychology, education, public health or related field, as well as two years of research experience in child and/or adolescent mental health, as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications and presentations at a national and/or international level.

You will also possess the following key position capabilities:


	Demonstrated emerging research experience in terms of peer-reviewed publications and presentations at a national and/or international level in child and/or adolescent mental health.
	Demonstrated experience in quantitative research design and methodologies involving children and/or adolescents.
	Demonstrated experience in research settings relevant to child and/or adolescent mental health (e.g. research in schools, clinical practice, community or population settings, or online)
	Demonstrated emerging research interests in digital technologies (e.g., smartphone apps, AI) for child and/or adolescent mental health.
	Demonstrated experience delivering project targets on time.
	Demonstrated ability to undertake collaborative research and establish and maintain effective relationships with team members.

Working closely with colleagues in our Content, Open Research and Learning Development teams you will play a key role in the Library’s offering at the University as well as working with many departments around the institution.?

You will play a significant role in shaping the innovative development of Library support for academic activity.

About you

Your personal sphere of influence:

As a pre-doc university assistant at the Department of Romance Studies, you will be involved in research and teaching activities in the team of Prof. Dr. J?rg Türschmann. The focus of research and teaching is on Francophone and/or Spanish-language literature and media studies. In addition to the transnational relationships of literature and media in Spanish- and French-speaking countries, a particular research focus is on serial narration in literature, film, television and the internet.

The employment duration?is?3 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to?3 years?if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a non-extension declaration.?With appropriate work progress, an extension to a total maximum of?4 years?is possible.

Your future tasks:

You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:


	You are involved in research projects and in scientific studies, in particular in publication projects.
	We expect you to finalize your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months.
	You work on your dissertation and its completion.
	You independently teach courses in accordance within the scope of provisions of the collective agreement.
	You take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.
	You contribute to the organization of conferences, conventions, and symposia.


This is part of your personality:
