Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt is a German university specialising in mobility, engineering, business and sustainable technologies. 

Located in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, the university educates over 8,100 students through more than 75 bachelor¡¯s and master¡¯s programmes, combining theory with strong practical focus. The university employs roughly 900 staff, including 210 professors across six faculties: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Social Work and Health Sciences, and Energy and Construction (at the Neuburg campus).

The main Ingolstadt campus features advanced labs and the CARISSMA crash research centre, recognised nationally for vehicle safety studies. The Neuburg campus focuses on energy efficiency, environmental technology and sustainable construction. The university¡¯s teaching model requires every bachelor¡¯s student to complete a practical semester and encourages internships with partner companies, fostering real-world skills and industry networks.

Research is a major strength, with an annual budget of around €33 million distributed across eight specialised research institutes covering artificial intelligence, robotics, renewable energy, sustainable mobility and digital transformation. The university supervises over 160 doctoral candidates and participates actively in European research consortia and industry partnerships.

Internationalisation is central, with 160 global partner universities and English-language modules to support exchange and mobility. 

Student services include modern libraries, virtual reality labs, computing facilities, collaborative project spaces and a vibrant campus life with sports, clubs and cultural events. Continuing education is offered via the TCW campus for professionals seeking career development.
