Coal City University is a not-for-profit private university that was established in 2016. 
The university was established due to the vision of hilanthropist, Rev Fr Prof. Stan Anih, who wanted to provide Africa with a world-class university that produced individuals to drive positive change in the world. The university was established and opened with two faculties, the faculty of arts, social and management sciences and faculty of natural and applied sciences. 
Today, the university has three main faculties with the addition of the faculty of education. Courses are taught through small, interactive lectures, practical assessment, and an emphasis on industry experience. Across its faculties, students can choose from a range of undergraduate degree programmes. 
Students at the university can access free accommodation. 
The campus is located in the Southeastern Nigerian town of Emene Enugu.

Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) aspires to be a leader in innovative learning by integrating learning, industry and community. Its mission is to nurture and develop individuals who build on their interests and talents to impact society in meaningful ways.

Our engineering degree programmes have been developed through extensive consultation with industry, thus creating a curriculum that supports the industry’s needs in manpower development and innovation. SIT focuses on working with the industry on translational research and innovation, spanning technology readiness levels (TRLs) 3-7. Unlike traditional research which is discovery-oriented, applied research projects have higher TRLs which bridge the gap between theoretical research and industry applications. SIT Engineering Cluster focusses on the five key pillars of Applied Research (i) Infrastructure (Maintenance) (ii) Sustainability (Built Environment) (iii) Energy Resilience (iv) Maritime Engineering and (v) Advanced Manufacturing, working with various industry sectors in Singapore as well as in the region.

For this faculty position in area of?aquaculture technologies, we are looking for candidates with the following essential and desirable skillset and competencies.

Essential


	Academic and/or industrial experience in engineering solutions for the aquaculture industry
	Expertise in some or any of the areas of systems engineering, robotics, automation, IOT, and data analytics
	Experience and knowledgeable in the field of aquaculture, with basic knowledge of the related sciences
	Motivated to develop and to teach aquaculture technologies curriculum
	Strong demonstration of interest to develop solutions through applied research projects


Desirable


	Good knowledge in aquaculture system design, including RAS, monitoring system, and energy management
	Experience in emerging applications of automation, artificial intelligence and data analytics solutions for aquaculture
	Hands on experience in commercial aquaculture farm operation is a plus?
	Preferred to having a PhD in a related technical area
	Led or involved in strong industry - academia partnership projects

We are looking to strengthen our team at the newly established?Cluster of Excellence EurAsian Transformations. The Cluster involves more than 30 researchers from four academic institutions (Austrian Academy of Sciences,?University of Vienna,?Central European University,?University of Innsbruck). The Cluster explores original-language sources in dozens of languages with a view towards addressing issues of contemporary relevance - diversity, mobility, identity - in historical perspective, pursuing comparative questions and stressing forms of connectivity in the realms of culture and religion, economy and politics, across Eurasia. We strive for a fruitful interdisciplinary dialogue and seek cooperation with the regions involved in order to create new academic infrastructures in Austria and internationally and to promote plurilateral research perspectives. EurAsia explores the transformation processes of Eurasia - understood as the entire landmass of both continents, Europe and Asia - from antiquity to the present.

From its earliest years, the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) has been fundamentally changing and shaping how we understand, prevent and treat mental illness and other conditions that affect the brain.? The legacy, ethos and drive of the IoPPN has ensured its position at the forefront of mental health care, redefining mental illness, its treatment and its place in society.

The IoPPN is divided into 14 academic departments across three major academic Schools: Academic Psychiatry, Mental Health & Psychological Sciences, and Neuroscience.

The Department of Psychosis Studies, part of the School of Academic Psychiatry, is one of the world’s leading centres for research into psychotic disorders. Our research includes the following major themes: Comorbidities & transdiagnostic approaches; Interventions; Neuroscience & biological mechanisms; Prediction and analytics; Risk factors and population health; and Treatment resistance. Our work involves a wide range of methodologies, including artificial intelligence/ digital technologies and interventions, cognitive neuroscience approaches, epidemiology, experimental medicine and clinical trials, ex vivo analyses, genomics, health service and applied research, meta-analysis?and evidence synthesis, prevention and early intervention, psychological approaches, psychopathology/ phenomenology, neuroimaging, real world data analyses and natural language processing, and stem cell techniques.?

About the role

This is an exciting position?where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as part of an internationally leading team of researchers investigating biological bases of neuro-psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders and the mechanism of action of treatments. The team has a particular interest in investigating the mechanism of action of cannabinoids and a key component of this program of work will involve the application of cutting-edge neuroimaging techniques (such as fMRI) to investigate the neural substrates underpinning the harmful effects of recreational cannabis use as well as potential therapeutic effects of cannabinoids. As part of this role, the appointed person will be involved in ongoing or planned randomised clinical trial/s and/ or pharmacological challenge studies.

The position is ideally suited for specialty trainees (from Psychiatry/ Neurology /Geriatric Medicine) interested in developing experience and skills in clinical trials or clinical research, in addition to gaining valuable experience in neuroimaging and neuropsychopharmacology.

The successful applicant will play a key role in the assessment and monitoring of patients taking part in ongoing studies and along with a team of researchers will contribute to the collection of clinical trial and neuroimaging data. The applicant will receive appropriate training and supervision relevant to their role and will work closely with other research and clinical staff working on the project/s, fostering effective working relationships with appropriate local services (e.g., Parkinson’s clinics at King’s College Hospital and Liaison and Geriatric Psychiatry at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust). ?

The person will be based in the Department of Psychosis Studies, School of Academic Psychiatry, IoPPN at KCL and will work closely with Prof Sagnik Bhattacharyya (https://www.kcl.ac.uk/people/professor-sagnikbhattacharyya) and other investigators based at King’s College London, in particular Dr Latha Velayudhan (https://www.kcl.ac.uk/people/dr-latha-velayudhan), based in the Psychological Medicine department at King’s College London. They will also interact with clinical fellows, research assistants, postdoctoral researchers and PhD students working in the group.?

This is a full-time, fixed term post, currently funded for 12 months with potential for extension and an anticipated start from August 2025. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop their own research interests.?and apply for funding to support an MD/PhD.?

Applications are invited for the part-time post of Senior Teaching Fellow BM5 BM5 Primary Care (PC) Clinical Practice (CP) 1 and 2 deputy Module Lead, to join the Medical Education Unit in the Faculty of Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development and delivery of PC teaching and learning experience for students on the BM5 programme on the new revalidated curriculum which is launching September 2025.

As the post holder, you will also contribute to help the development and delivery of the PC subject teaching across the Batchelor of Medicine programmes and will help students meet the General Medical Council’s learning outcomes relating to PC as in “Outcomes for Graduates 2018”. You will work with a range of staff with different backgrounds and promote the shared vision for PC. You will be responsible for recruitment, placement, teaching and training GP teachers to support the delivery of PC in the BM5 cohort of CP 1 module and use the second session to deputise both CP1 and 2. You will enable students to develop skills and competencies needed for building a solid foundation in the early years, as students’ progress to consulting patients safely and enhance the student learning experience.?
